Hi, my name is David Youn, and I’m a senior at Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia. I’m passionate about the intersection of engineering, entrepreneurship, and service. As the founder and president of my school’s Engineering Club, I lead hands-on design projects that solve everyday problems on and off campus. I also organize and participate in over 30 community service events, running fundraisers to volunteering with Special Olympics. My academic interests are matched by a deep commitment to teamwork and leadership, shaped in part by my background in competitive basketball and my recovery from a career changing injury. Whether I’m prototyping with CAD software, selling ramen in my dorm to share Korean culture, or engaging in national STEM competitions, I strive to build, connect, and lead with purpose.
